Dear Amritanand,
Thank you for your kind mail. Was just thinking of Sumeet after bhajans. how
he used to sing with eyes closed, hands drumming away on the 'kanjira'. I
have sung so many songs with him to Amma/ Sai Baba ..
During Amma Amma Taye he used to drum away so well. He sang so many Shiva
songs so well - Also 'Ayi Re Holi' Amritanandamayi Amma , Samastha Paapa
nasanam etc etc...
anyway, His soul is in peace.
I was with him and his mother in law just 4 days before they left their
bodies.. His mother in law told me 'even bad things i take as the Guru's
prasad'- in retrospect her words are profound. She had a Radha-Soami Guru
and used to do japa everyday .
I remember the way he interacted with Amma. I still remember the day i told
him about Amma- we both had still not met Her , and we both had
'instantaneous ' faith .
He had a great sense of humour- used to read P.G.Wodehouse .
thanks for your kind words. Death is a sure change we all have to face.
Some face it earlier , some later. It seems it is a 'nice' experience. Just
like taking a tight coat off , the soul drops the body.
And when we go through the 'tunnel' we emerge at the other side at this
pleasant light .
I am sure that Sumeet and his mother-in lawe went into the Light . And they
must have seen Amma there, smiling , arms outstretched welcoming them into
Her lap .
And She would have told Sumeet 'Well done, Good and Faithful servant'.
Parvati, could you share the near death experience of your friend of Lotus
books here?
