Dear Community of Ammanetters....
I've just returned to New Hampshire from another 3.5 weeks in Michigan
caregiving to my mom. Amma in Ann Arbor factored in...personal experiences
and reflections once I get through my e-mail backlog. Forgive if this
response has been handled over the last few weeks...

WAY...Amma's physical form, wonderful as it is, is not as necessary once SHE
has us "HOOKED"...look at all those bramachariis all over India in the sites
doing incredible seva in less that ideal western standards of convenience,
punctuality and ease of access to materials and persons. YES, our work on
ourselves and whatever the path SHE has led us to DOES NOT demand being with
MOTHER...OH, that it could!! We each have our path...many of the early
Awaken Children Book reflect this...I remember the now-swamiis encouraging
AMMA to act in one way on behalf of an activity and Sw. AMMA trying to get
AMMA to care for herself...the pleadings of both were right for the dharma
of the disciple...AMMA cautioned them not to judge each other or think one
path was better than the other...she alone establishes our dharma/karma
prescription and it is to HER alone we check in daily...SHE knows that and
so do we--though sometimes we forget but does SHE???? NEVER!!!!! Can't get
caught up with the external pressures or judgements...easier said than done
but since my time with AMMA has been pared down repeatedly over the last few
years YET I feel closer to HERthan ever.
HER communication is quick, simple and direct in the internal and external
planes if I allow myself to listen. When I am with HER, SHE tells me SHE
is always aware of me and my bumbling AND refined efforts at being one with
HER. The doubts Sucetas expressed so well if this if OK is only validated by
his inquiry. Glad the topic came up as the presentation could feel
self-satisfied or "special." In AMMA's book WE ARE ALL SPECIAL...some one
mentioned VIP's at the Michigan program when the identity of a long time
devotee was asked...we are all VIPs as AMMA's children was a follow up
perspective. Anyone on board who doesn't feel AMMA's love??? example????
guidance???
Hardship goes hand in hand with the "bliss ninnie" phenomenon or how would
we survive?
