Subject: Re: Amma's darshan

Hearing that story about the car reminds me of an
unusual answer to prayer by Amma concerning a vehicle
that my daughter was driving.

My daughter was working for an unscrupulous boss who
owned a van for transporting children in their school.
However, he was too miserly to properly license the
van and pay the insurance on it. Instead, he made
the person transporting the children sign the title
of the van, thereby becoming liable for any
accidents or injuries. When my daughter told me
about this, I was horrified and prayed to Amma to
"do something!" My pleas to my daughter fell on
deaf ears, and she's not the best driver in the
world, so I would feel sick at my stomach whenever
I thought of her liability in transporting these
children around in the van. Of course, on the
wages she was paid, she could not afford insurance!
Here she was driving uninsured (a violation of state
law) with all these kids every day! Amma, help!

Here's what happened: Over the Thanksgiving
holiday Barbara inadvertently left the van parked
on the street in Seattle. It was towed. Now she
was in for it! She told her supervisor about it,
and he said he'd take care of it. However, he
waited a few weeks before calling the police and
when he did, the van had already been sold at auction!
(New owner! Barbara was off the hook! Thank you,
Amma!) The supervisor had to tell the boss about it
and take the heat for not getting the van out of
impound!

Is it any wonder we are all so crazy about Amma?!!
